esposeptpoemsrules Mrs. Esposito

Your child will be given poems that we will be working on. They should be glued into the composition book and need to be brought home to share. You should sign the poem page and you can write a special note to your child on that page. We will be looking for fluency when it is time to recite the poem. If your child actually memorizes the poem and recites it with fluency he or she will earn a star on the poem page.

Practice reading for fluency the following:

Good Character Rules!

We raise our hands and always share.
We do the best to show we care.
We listen and learn, are always polite,
Working quietly as we read and write.
When we are finished, we put things away.
Good character follows us through the day.

When our hands are at our sides,
we’re lined up straight and tall,
Mouths are closed, eyes look ahead,
then we’re ready for the hall.
