Hello and welcome to the grade 4 class webquest on Alberta's geography and people. Some of you may be wondering what a webquest is.
A webquest is a research or inquiry based project that mainly uses websites or media as resources. All webquests have certain parts.
These are:
The INTRODUCTION; This is where you can read an overview of the project.
The TASK; This is a description of what you will be asked to do in the project.
EVALUATION; This describes the criteria on which you will be marked. This might be a rubric or just a simple explanation.
CONCLUSION: This ties up any loose ends and may give you ideas on how to further extend your learning.
Simply scroll down to read the introduction then get started by going to the useful links section. There you will find all the links to do the task.
**I will provide internet time at school for students who do not have access at home. However I encourage students to try to print out photos or other graphics at home. If it is not possible I will make arrangements to have photos printed.
**I recommed you read all instructions before beginning any part of this project or before clicking on any of the links. Please read instructions thoroughly.
***Please use the calendar which is available on the pages. Use the calendar as a guide to see the expectations for how much work you should have accomplished by certain dates. Introduction
In grade 4 students spend time in social studies studying different aspects of Alberta. Students study the geography, resources and the people that make up this province. Below are 7 questions that invite you to learn more about Alberta. Read the questions then scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on the link that will take you to the task page.
