The following is our special classes schedule:
Monday- Art Tuesday- P.E. Wednesday- Guidance Thursday- Library
Friday- Music
Lunch- 11:00-11:30
A.R. reading is EVERY NIGHT! Our class goal is to read 30% of our total A.R. as nonfiction. I have several nonfiction on different reading levels that students can check out. They can check out nonfiction in the library. Sometimes we have time in class to read some excellent short nonfiction and take A.R. tests right then.
Thank you to parents remembering the "change of plans" notes in the planners and folders.
PLEASE Remember to look in the black folders every night for notes and homework. Papers on the left need to be returned to school and graded or checked papers on the right to be left at home. Please sign your child's planner every night. See that he/she has homework completed and has an A.R. book to read.
**Every student needs at least 25 A.R. points each 9 weeks with at least 85% average.
Grading system for elementary school:
A...........93-100
B...........85-92
C...........75-84
D...........70-74
F............50-69
Every night students are to read their A.R. books. The more a child reads the better reader he or she will become! Reading will help your child do well in all subjects.
