FAMILY DYNAMICS
This course will enable students to examine the dynamics of family life and apply what they learn to their present and future family situation.
This course is designed to build on previous skills and learning. The student will actively engage in the learning strategies and continually demonstrate thier skills in communication, decision making, problem solving, and resource management.
Skills, Knowledge and Behaviors to be Developed:
1. Identify the family as a unit of the American society.
2. Evaluate factors affecing family style choices.
3. Explore stress management and coping techniques.
4. Evaluate resources, human and non-human, available
to families and management of these resources.
5. Recognize relationship of effective communication
to a successful marriage.
6. Identify career choices that assist the family unit.
MATERIALS NEEDED
1. A pocket folder is requrired for class to keep your
homework, notes, tests, and quizzes together.
folder is to be brought to class daily. All papers
must be kept for the entire semester.
2. You need to come prepared to class daily with a blue
or black pen and a pencil, extra paper, your folder,
and assigned work. No RED ink will be accepted on
any work!!
