Hi students!  Welcome to our Quia page.   What a great weekend!  Labor Day was full of activities for all the students,  Everyone shared their fun times with the class.

During our Spanish class, Mrs. Young shared her experiences with us about the annual Tribal gathering at Tushkahoma, Oklahoma.   She told of the dances, the traditional foods and folk-lore,  She told us that the word, Tushkahoma, means "Red Warrior"   The free carnival fun was donated by the Chief, Greg Pyle.   It made a happy, learning time for all the people who attended.  Many of our students had been there.   The Spanish class also learned some new Indian words and meanings.

Students, please remind your parents that it is very important to check your bag and TAKE HOME FOLDER  every day   Many times there are personal notes to them and there are papers they need to see.  You will need their help on spelling words and a math sheet nearly every day.

This is going to be a busy week for us even though it's going to be a short one.  We are learning so many new things and also reviewing first grade work daily.

Our spelling words this week are from lesson 3.  They are:    wig, big. spin, sick, sink, stick, king, twig, picnic, swing, pick, clip, sit. sitting, kitten, him, swim, pig, finish, quickly, irritate.      STUDY!  STUDY!  STUDY!

Thank you,
Mrs. Cornelison
