GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING THIRD GRADE: PLEASE SEE BELOW:

GRADES: will be updated each week by WED. evening.

MATH: make sure you are practicing math facts at least three times a week. A very good website is: aplusmath.com and IXL.com

HOMEWORK: will be weighted to consist of 10% of the total grade for each subject.

PROGRESS REPORTS: will go home every three weeks per quarter. If your child receives a grade lower than a C on the progress report, please sign and return.

CORNERSTONE: Make sure that you are checking Cornerstone online grading system at least once a week. If you do not have password information for Cornerstone, please contact the front office.

AR reading comprehension quizzes should be taken here at school only for extra credit points toward language arts grade.

Spelling program: Mrs. Zach and I have decided to integrate the Treasures Spelling program with the Sitton spelling program this year. Treasures lists of words will go home every other week with a spelling test on Friday of that week. The weeks in between will focus on Sitton spelling rules, common core level 3 words, and high priority words. More details will follow as we monitor and adjust and hope to implement a successful spelling program for third grade this year.
