I am so very excited to have my students back for another year! I was so pleased with the students' progress during their 2nd grade school year and am looking forward to watching them continue to grow during 3rd grade.
Third grade is generally a big change, but my hope is that with looping from second to third grade, it will be an easier transition for all of us.

Agendas and Folders:
Please remember to read and sign your child's agenda each and every night, as well as removing the things from the red folder. Please do not remove anything from your child's binder--these are the materials we use in class daily. Things that may stay home will be found in "keep at home" side of the red folder only.
Things to Remember:
*Spelling words will be coming home weekly. Tests will be on Fridays.
Homework:
Homework continues to be an important part of our nightly routine. It is a supplement to what we do during the day and reinforces all the things we do at school.
We are continuously working on independence, responsibility, and organization.
Book Orders:
Book orders will come home during the first week of each month. These will be due a week from the day they come home. This is a voluntary program. Please remember to send either exact change or a check for your order addressed to Scholastic Book Clubs. This is a fantastic way to improve reading skills and fluency(something we work on continuously), as well as build your at-home library.
