The first half of class you and a partner or partners will be required to report on a BBC article. Make sure that all members of the group share the duties equally. You should
1. give some background to the article. This includes a historical perspective and why it is important. (This may or may not be included in your article. You may have to do extra research or talk to other class members.)
2. give a summary of the article
3. present from 3-5 new vocabulary words
4. Give some comprehension questions to the class, to make sure they understand the article.
5. Give some discussion questions for the class. These are questions that are controversial and that different people may have different opinions about. Your job is not to tell the right answer, only to stimulate discussion and be the leader. Each group will have about 15 minutes to give their presentation. The presentations will be taped and viewed later by the teacher with the students involved.
The second part of class we can play a game that will require you to read and discuss with your partners the information you read and then to solve a crime.
