Inspiration comes from our first teachers, our parents. A special thanks to mine, and with them, any parent who has ever read the same, favorite story over and over again. Language and a love of reading begin at home, long before we start school.
Special thanks to these childhood and professional inspirations. These teachers were role models for me as a child and now, as a teacher. I strive to inspire my students based on their examples.
Ms. DeLong ~ Whose classroom pet opened my eyes to the world of reptiles and with it...science.
Mrs. Cavelli ~ who inspired my interest in art and patiently tolerated my slow pace.
Ms. Joseph ~ Who brought music to our school and made personal connections with her students. Thus, building fond memories of school.
Mrs. Ramsey ~ Whose simple gift of a book at Christmas, inspired a struggling reader.
Mr. Smith, Mr. Egan, and Mr. Palmerino ~ Each experts in their fields, English, social studies, and math respectively. Their humorous and playful banter made school engaging and enthralling.
Currently, my Colleagues at Coxsackie Elementary ~ Sharing time, talents, and energy to make our school a special place to learn and grow.
