I. A very important reminder
If you made your initial payment before April 1 (Aryn, Katie, Stefan), you must make a second payment of $200 to NETC by July 1, and a third payment of $200 by September 1.
Those of you who made your first payment after April 1 (Shane, Rachel and hopefully Sarah) must make a second payment of $200 by September 1.
As you'll recall, if you paid $95 by April 1, a second payment of $200 is needed in order to retain the benefits of the April 1 deadline (i.e. keeping the reduced price, full refund if our group cancels by November 1.)
All of you (except Rachel) should have received a statement from NETC recently. On it you have travel ID numbers. I have them here just in case. Aryn, 44965; Stefan, 44966; Katie, 44967; Shane, 45907.
Whenever you send checks to NETC, please be sure to include your travel ID and my name. Otherwise, your account may not be properly credited.

II. The status of our trip
A. Dates. Madame Bouvier contacted me to let me know that the dates we selected are acceptable for the host families in Cholet. So, as it stands right now, we will leave the Erie Airport on Tuesday, June 17; arrive in Paris and continue to Cholet on Wednesday, June 18; remain in Cholet until Monday, June 23. On that morning we will go to Paris and follow our NETC itinerary. We will leave France on Wednesday, July 2.
The Fairview School board has approved our trip.
B. The number of students. This is the issue that will make or break our trip. We have five students who have made a payment to NETC (Shane, Rachel, Aryn, Stefan, and Katie). One more person is considering joining us (Sarah Lawlor). With six, we are far from the 12 I am hoping for.
When we return to school in September, I will make another push to get five or six new travelers. If I am unsuccessful as of September 30, I will cancel the trip.
