Dear Students and Parents,
As you have heard, at this time we only have six participants for our trip. This is far below the twelve I was looking for.
I was hoping that as we progressed through the first month of school, more students would enroll. We did gain one, Kate Warner, but we also lost one, Rachel Unkle.
As I see it we have the following options.
1. Continue with our plans. If we did this, it would mean that you each have to pay an additional $475 dollars. Of course, if more students then enrolled, this amount would decrease; a chance you may or may not be willing to take. This decision would have to be unanimous.
2. Cancel our plans for now and try for a trip in 2004.
Regarding refunds if we cancel during the month of October, please keep the following in mind: If you enrolled before April 1, you will get a 100% refund. If you enrolled between April 1 and July 1, you will get everything back except a $185 service fee and the $95 registration fee.
As I promised earlier, I will allow you to make the decision. Please indicate below if you prefer to continue our plans, or not. Please return the bottom of this letter to me as soon as possible so I can notify NETC. I will be in touch with you as soon as I have received all of your responses.
