Dear Host Families,
First of all, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for agreeing to host a Cholet student this fall. This very unique program has been in existence since 1994. This will be the fifth time a group from Cholet comes to Fairview. One of the most important keys to the success of this program is the Host Family. If our friends from Cholet didn’t feel comfortable during their home stay, the exchange would not be able to continue. Obviously we’re doing something right since they keep coming back. We look forward to adding another successful chapter to this program and including you in it.
The main purpose of this update is to help make you aware of what this is all about and what will be expected of you.
First of all, you may want to check out our Cholet Exchange Website
(http://www.quia.com/pages/echfairviewcholet.html), and click on the link for October, 2003. There you will find a few other links which will, most likely, answer any questions you have.
There is a link to the daily itinerary. Just so you know, the itinerary is still in the planning stages. So far, the only things there that are definite are the first and last days. (And, no, that is not a typo on the departure time from FHS on October 29.) Over the next few weeks I will be arranging the rest of the schedule.
If you click on the "excursions" link, you'll see each agendas for the excursions taken in 2001. Ignore the dates on top. Most likely these will be the same in 2003, however the exact dates are not yet set.
Click on the link that says "every update" and you'll see links to just that. So far there are only two; this update and "Host Family Responsibilities".
Please visit these pages at your earliest convenience and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Merci!
