With the help of Kevin Murphy and Tiffany Hodes of NETC, I looked at the following options.
Option 1: A parent as a chaperone:
Tour package: $2884.80
Deduction for land only: 630.00
Total: $2254.80
Option 2: Parent as a non-chaperone:
Tour package: $2404.00
Deduction for land only: 630.00
Adult surcharge ($28 x 10 days) 280.00
Registration: 95.00
Versailles (seize the chateau): 45.00
Total: $2194.00
One new development to keep in mind is the fact that we will no longer consider the extra day in Paris. In order for NETC to give us this, we need a minimum of 10 participants. But, there is a plus to this. With the extra day in Paris, everybody's cost is now $165 cheaper.
