TRIP UPDATE - April 12, 2006
STUDENTS, PLEASE BE SURE THIS INFORMATION GETS TO YOUR PARENTS!!!
Dear Travelers and Parents,
EF informed me that they would like to change the dates of our tour. What they are proposing is that we begin the tour in Paris on Friday, June 23 and end on Saturday, July 1.
If we do this, I would prefer to leave Erie on Thursday, June 15, rather that on June 13.
However, after I informed Madame Bouvier in Cholet of these possible changes, she let me know that these dates are not good for her and the students since many of the Cholet students are scheduled to take the oral portion of their Baccalaureate exams during the week of June 20. (The "Bac" is a very important exam in France. This test determines whether or not a student can attend college. If they fail, they have the option of choosing a career that does not require a college degree, or repeating their senior year and taking the test the following June.) Furthermore, Mme Bouvier herself needs to administer the tests during that week.
I have sent an e-mail to our EF travel agent to see if we can get dates closer to what we had requested.
