Dear Travelers and Parents,
I have our flight information. I realize that the hours given are inconvenient. For our June 16 departure I have made a suggestion to Dave for a change. For more on that, see note 1 below.
Friday, June 16

leaves Pittsburgh at 6:15 am
arrives at Washington DC Dulles Airport at 7:25 am.
United Airlines - Flight 0914
leaves Dulles at 5:48 pm (See Note 2 below)
arrives at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 7:20 am
Saturday, July 1
Lufthansa Airlines - Flight 4411
leaves Madrid at 1:45 pm
arrives in Frankfurt, Germany at 4:20 pm

Note 1: For international flights, we need to check in at the airport 2½ - 3 hours in advance of take off time. That means that we would need to arrive at the Pittsburgh Airport before 4 am, making it necessary to leave Erie by 2 am. I have asked Dave if EF could possibly charter a bus for us from Erie to Dulles Airport. If so, we could leave Erie at around 7:00 or 8:00 am instead of 2 am. We would need to arrive at Dulles by 3 pm. Dave will check on this and get back to me.
Note 2: Due to the long layover at Dulles, EF is providing us with a sightseeing tour of Washington, DC.
Note 3: EF was unable to find us a flight from Newark to Pittsburgh after our 7:50 arrival. Therefore we will spend the night in a hotel in Newark.
