18 days until they arrive!
Attached is the first draft of the phone chain. Please take a look to see if if your information is correct. Also, if you would like to give me a cell phone number or a work number, please write back with it. If everything is OK, please write back so I know you saw the phone chain.
I am missing a few numbers, which I probably have at school. If yours is one of the missing ones, feel free to get that to me.
For the most part, this will be used whenever the students are on their way to Fairview. For all of the excursions as well as for their arrival on October 19, there are scheduled arrival times. However, there are circumstanes which may delay the arrival. As an example, in October 2001, the Choletais' flight from Paris to Newark left late, so they missed their flight from Newark to Buffalo. Instead of arriving in Fairview at 5:30 pm, they pulled in around 1:00 am.
A second example, in October 2003 we were running behind schedule on the return from Niagara Falls,and returned about 90 minutes later than scheduled.
As a general rule of thumb, assume we will be on time. If we are running late, we should know in time to contact you before you leave your homes.
I may even start the chain just to let you know that we are on time. But, if you are about to leave and you want to be sure, feel free to call my cell phone.
Also, you'll notice we have a couple of openings for hosts. Unfortunately, we lost 1 and a half hosts.
I do have one young man checking to see if he is able to co-host Kenjy for the final week, and and young lady checking to see if her family can take Mailys. I hope to find out Monday. But, if they cannot, if you know anyone (including yourselves) who could take them, please let me know.
