Hi Everyone,
A quick update. It's not on the website yet, but will be.
1. I have attached a revised phone chain. There are just a few changes. I will have printed copies in school if anyone needs one.
2. A slight change for Friday morning. After homeroom, please take your students to the library computer lab instead of to Mrs. Schoeller's room. She will show a Power Point presentsation there and she will lead them to her classroom afterwards. You will pick them up after first period in Mrs. Schoeller's room and keep them with you the rest of the day.
3. I hear that we have chaperones for Friday's dance, but I haven't received too many definite names. If your parents are able to help, please let me know. If we don't have enough we will need to cancel.
4. I may have mentioned this before, but just in case... I realize that many, if not all of our students, are busy with a lot of things - jobs, sports, dance, etc. If you are involved in an activity that will keep you busy or away from home during the exchange, please be sure to take care of your Cholet student. See if a friend can take him/her for that time. (Maybe you can return the favor later.) If it's the type of activity that permits you to bring the student along, see if he/she is interested. If you have a job, consider asking for time off during the exchange. Maybe there will be times where they're OK just staying in the house and relaxing. Not only do we not want anyone to feel abandonned, and not only are they here to learn about "the American way," but we also have a lot to learn from them. Take advantage of the time you have to teach, learn, and enjoy.
