Almost at the halfway point of the exchange, and things seem to be going well. Thanks to all of you for what you have done so far and for what you will do in the final week.

The Dance The dance was a success. Thanks to all of you who came, and who got your friends to come. I was worried about not having enough chaperones, so THANK YOU parents who helped, and THANK YOU to the students who convinced (or permitted) your parents to be there.

Thanksgiving Sunday Mrs. Symes tells me that she has had a bunch of RSVPs and that she is going tho buy the turkey(s) on Friday. If you would would like to attend, please send an e-mail (plhande@velocity.net) by Thursday afternoon telling how many are coming and what you would like to bring.

Phoning Cholet (Same info from an earlier e-mail) In order to make a phone call to Cholet, here's what you need to do. Note: If a person's phome number in France is 02-41-58-44-12, you do not dial the first zero. The international code from the US is 011. The Country code for France is 33.

So, dial 011-33-2-41-58-44-12

If your were making the call to Cholet from within France, you would include the zero: 02-41-58-44-12

Little Local Items Please remember, if you have access to 29 things that would go well with our gift packets (pencils, magnets, brochures, stickers, etc. - especially those that have a local flavor) please get those to me. Thanks to those who have already contributed!

Farewell Dinner The details on the farewell dinner (Nov. 1) are coming soon. We will open the doors at around 5:30, hoping to start serving by 6:00. Things will wind down by 7:30 or so.

Pictures If you have any pictures you would like to have put on the website, please feel free to e-mail them to me. We finally had a chance to get some pictures (from Thursday and Friday) on the site. More will come tonight. That's all for now. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
