The Farewell Dinner
On Wednesday November 1, we will have a dinner to say goodbye to our guests. This will take place in the FHS cafeteria. We will open the doors at around 5:30. At the time, you can bring in whatever you have and we should be ready to eat by 6:00.
All host families are invited. Also, throughout the two weeks they have been here, many students who are not hosting have become friends with the "Choletais". If you know any such people, please let them know that they are invited, too.
This will be a tureen style dinner. I'd like to divide the food types among the hosts families alphabetically.
Bainbridge - Glecos, please bring a main dish and a salad-type dish.
Ingram - Zebrowski, please bring a main dish and a dessert-type dish.
The French Club will take care of plates, knives, forks spoons, napkins, and soft drinks. If you think we are over looking something, let me know.
The podium and microphone will also be set up and a few speeches will be given after dinner. If any of you would like to say a few words to the group, you will have the opportunity.
Also, I will try to provide enough electrical power (extension cords, power strips, etc.). If you are bringing something electric (like a roasting pan or a crock pot), you may want to bring a powerstrip just in case.
The Departure As you know, our guest will leave FHS a few hours after the farewell dinner ends. The bus must leave by 3:00 am (so they can catch their 6:30 flight). So please be sure to arrive at around 2:45 so there is enough time to load the luggage, take pictures, say goodbye, etc.
I think that's it for now. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Merci!
