Hello Everyone!
Just a few quick notes for you.
1. Great news! Every Cholet student has a home!! At the Open House on Wednesday evening, Lauren Sickert and her parents offered to take in Pauline Breau. Thanks to the Sickerts and to EVERYBODY for being a part of this program! Thanks, also, to those of you who have offered to take a second student. Unless something unexpected comes up, we won't need to resort to "double-booking".
2. I made one date change for the excursions. The Niagara Falls trip will be one day earlier, October 22 instead of October 23. We still have some Pittsburgh details to work out. As soon as everything is set I will adjust the itinerary.
3. Soon I will put the permission slips online. I will let you know when that happens. If you are interested in going on one of the trips, your place will be reserved as soon as you turn in your permission slip and money.
4. On the updates page I added the "Host Family Duties". If you received the handout last spring, it is basically the same. One addition deals with the Farewell Dinner on October 30.
5. As we did in 2006, we will have a Photo Section on choletexchange.com. It's ready to go, just waiting for the days to arrive. The families back home love seeing how their kids are doing. If you would like to contribute photos, please do! If it's just a picture or two, you can e-mail them to me. But if you have several photos, burning them on a disk may be better. (I found out the hard way how easily an mailbox can overflow with pictures.) Either way, please let me know the dates so I can put them on the correct page.
6. If you have not yet written to your Cholet guest, please do! Remember that one of our hopes is that you and your guest get to know each other before you meet in person. If you don't have an e-mail address, send the letter to me and I will forward it to Mme Bouvier.
