- The 3rd 9 weeks is all about Geometry. We will begin with polygons and their information and move to 3-D shapes, surface area, and volume.
-This week we will cover how to surface area of 3-D shapes.
- We will have a surface area quiz on Friday, February 8. Please encourage your child to follow the 3 lines: write the formula, put in what they know, and solve
-If you would like to make a donation to the class, our treat box is in need of some healthy snacks
-To make up for our 2 missed snow days on January 18 and 25, school will be in session on Monday, February 18 and Monday, April 1.
-The next PTA meeting will be March 28 at 6pm.
-Progress reports and any important school information will be sent home on Wednesday afternoon. Signed materials must be returned on Thursday.
-If you would like to purchase a calculator, Wal-mart and Target has the same one that we use for around $12. The brand is Texas Instruments TI30X IIS. This can be used for 6th and 7th grade.
-The Time Tracker is a very important tool for students, parents, and teacher. It is a great way to communicate. Please review school rules and procedures with your child.
-I have put different activities on the page. They are great for review and are lots of fun!
-ITIS begins at 7:50. Please be in your seat and ready to learn at this time.
Our Big Topic for the 3rd nine weeks is Geometry. We are learning polygons, 3-D shapes, surface area, and volume. Each lesson that will be covered will include an Essential Question. After the lesson is completed, you child should be able to answer the essential question. Please check their spirals to see what is happening on Deer Hall!
