*This is a very busy week! We have lots to cover. The information that will be on our Friday quiz is cirumference and area of circles, parallelograms, rectangles, and triangles!!
*Yearbook orders went home on January 24. They must be returned by February 15. The cost is $35.00.
*We will be having our Circles and Area unit test on Thursday, February 9. It will cover circles and area of various shapes.
*There is no school for students on Friday, February 10. This is a scheduled in-service day for teachers.
*To make up January 13, school will be in session on May 23.
* There will be a PTSA meeting on February 7. It is considered "A Night of Excellence". Many special students will be honored at the meeting.
* I have recieved a name of someone who would is a math tutor. Please contact me if you would like additional information.
*If you would like to purchase a calculator, Wal-mart and Target has the same one that we use for around $12. The brand is Texas Instruments TI30X IIS. This can be used for 6th and 7th grade.
*The Time Tracker is a very important tool for students, parents, and teacher. It is a great way to communicate. Please review school rules and procedures with your child.
*I have put different activities on the page. They are great for review and are lots of fun!
* ITMS begins at 7:50. Please be in your seat and ready to learn at this time.
Each lesson that will be covered will include an Essential Question. After the lesson is completed, you child should be able to answer the essential question. Please check their spirals to see what is happening on Deer Hall!
The third 9 weeks will cover the standards concerning Geometry. The big ideas are polygons, Triangle Inequality Theorem, Circle, Surface Area, and Volume. Below is a picture of the 3rd 9 weeks at a glance.
