WELCOME TO OUR CLASS! Best Wishes for a wonderful holiday season from our class! We have been busy working on writing strategies. The students have written and typed many stories and will begin work on a Christmas prompt on Monday, December 3rd. The prompt is: Imagine that one of Santa's elves wakes you up in the middle of the night and asks for you to help Santa. We are reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and trying to keep a few holiday secrets as well! Students just completed a geometry unit and will begin work on measurement next week. We have started constructing our North Carolina A to Z Scrapbooks. This will be a yearlong project. As you can see, we are very busy and working hard. Please check that your child knows his/her multiplication tables - We have weekly tests up to the 12's table We will complete Beat the Clock at Christmas break and begin 2 digit multiplication and division. REMINDER: WEEKLY HOMEWORK: MONDAY- THURSDAY Reading Log: 20 minutes each night EOG Packet: 1 page reading, 1 page math each night Frog Board Games Parent Signature on Vocabulary List/Newsletter: Monday Only FRIDAY Parent Signature on Student Folder/Weekly Progress Report Other assignments are given as needed. FIELD TRIP TO RALEIGH, FRIDAY DECEMBER 14TH!! ALL MONIES AND PERMISSION FORMS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN MONDAY DECEMBER 10TH.
