We have viewed videos about F.Scott Fitzgerald the author of The Great Gatsby, read a short story by him, and have listened to music of the Jazz Age. During our study of Gatsby aside from reading the novel, we will also continue working on our ability to evaluate web sites, and create annotated bibliographies for people, places,and events that have taken place during the time of Gatsby.

2/20-Tuesday:Begin reading and listening to The Great Gatsby.
2/21-Wed: Continue reading and listening to The Great Gatsby.
2/22-Thurs:Quiz over introduction and Chapter One of The Great Gatsby.
2/23-Friday: Parent Conferences--No School for Students

2/29-Thursday: Quiz over Chapter 2 of Gatsby. Continue reading Gatsby Chapter 3.
3/1-Friday:Discuss Chapter 3, and Read Chapter 4.
Finish Chapter 4 over the weekend. Quiz over the first four chapters on Tuesday March 7.
NOTE Study Guides are due the day of discussion of the chapter.
