At Glacier Creek Middle School, we strive to offer experiences appropriate to each student's individual needs, interests, and capabilities. The general purpose of the gifted and talented program is to address the needs of high achieving students through enrichment, acceleration, and/or modified teaching strategies. There are a variety of enrichment offerings in many subject areas throughout the year. The heart of the Middleton-Cross Plains programming is helping teachers meet the needs of the identified students in regular classrooms.
As the G&T coordinator for Glacier Creek, I provide support to teachers to help them meet the needs of their gifted students. I also strive to support parents of gifted students by providing them with information about school and community opportunities. We have some accelerated couse offerings, mainly in math. Students are generally identified for these offerings in fifth grade, however, please contact me via email if you have questions about the math program. I also coordinate many academic contests and/or opportunities for students at Glacier Creek. A posting of Glacier Creek's Gifted and Talented Opportunites appears on our District website which can be found at the link below. This information is updated monthly.
Please contact me with questions about Gifted and Talented issues at (608)798-5435 or via email.
