This page will link you to each lecture and provide you with information regarding tests.

The test will be given on May 9th. The test time is 5-7 pm. in our regular classroom.  The format of the test is similar to the first test.  There will be 40 multiple choice questions and 2 required essays, as well as an opportunity to write a third essay for extra credit.  Remember to answer all parts of the question.

Your best study guide is the lectures at this website.  Start with these lectures and then if there are areas that need to be clarified, use the texts.

I modified slightly the last lecture and cleaned up my typos.  I left information in regarding statistics on women in the criminal justice system.  I am not asked you to memorize percentages in this instance.  I just want you to understand the level of participation in these occupations.
Also, I left the history of women in the military (army) because you need to understand that the context of Miller's article, ie, women are seen by some military men as having more power when in fact, they don't.

As a final note, to my students who feel that equality has been achieved, I want to leave you with one thought.  My niece builds computer systems on US submarines for Lockheed Martin (she's the engineer).  However, she is not allowed to inspect her work because women are not allowed to be on submarines.  It seems to me that the issue of gender inequality is still a relevant topic of inquiry.
