A. Think about a collective experience when you had an incomplete "generalized other" and how having an incomplete
"generalized other" made you feel about yourself.
P. Visit an event or other group activity such as a Pow Wow
and think about how you feel about yourself in this situation, then reflect on how the regular participants might be feeling about themselves in this situation. Do you feel like a competent person in this situation? What kind of
event in your culture might a newcomer feel uncomfortable because they don't understand the norms?
