Today, you will be completing an online exercise to learn about fractals. At the end of the session, you will take a 10 question quiz about what you have learned. The results of the quiz will be automatically e-mailed to me. You may use whatever notes you take during the completion of the exercise when you take the quiz. You MAY NOT share any information, nor talk to your neighbor, during the quiz.
You have approximately 45 minutes to complete this assignment.
First: Read pages 378-381 in your Geometry book. Use the Study Guide 7-6 if necessary.
Second: Please go to the Fractal tutorial website (Link below). Click on Fantastic Fractals.
Take the Fractals tutorial. Do the JUST FOR KIDS first.
Go back to the tutorial page and click on Discover fractals.
Take the Blue Tour, starting with What is a fractal?
Play the Chaos game at 11.
Come back to this Quia page when you are ready to take the quiz. Be sure you have a pencil and paper. Click on QUIZ SESSION LOG IN (bottom right on this page). The session name is Fractal Quiz.
After you complete the quiz, go to one of the sites below, and make your own fractal. Download your original fractal to the printer.
