This week we are concentrating on revision for oral and listening sections of OCR Entry Level. PRINT OUT THIS PAGE to use for reference. Tick off items tackled.
Aims
To talk confidently about home,school,friends,family and free time
To understand other people talking about the same subjects.
Objectives
i) Can you say where you live? Describe your house? Say what you do at home?
ii)How do you get to school?When do you start?What subjects do you study? What do you do at break? Where do you eat?
What subjects do you like?/dislike? Why? Why not?
iii) Can you give your name?..say how old you are? give the date of your birthday, describe a member of your family, say how much pocket money you get per week
Bottom line - choose ONE of these sections and study it well. Use computer to check vocabulary and pronunciation where possible.
Useful games and exercises
When using the quia games, always click first on the list of terms. Print this out. It will help you find the answers.
The Challenge Board and Hangman games have no help list but hopefully the related java games work with the same vocabulary.
PLAN
1. print out vocabulary
2. play at least two forms of java games
3. do challenge board or hangman if available
4. check that you can answer all the questions above, can tell the time and know school subjects and rooms in the house.
5. Practice oral with a friend. Questions are in workbook.
6. ask for a practice oral when you feel confident.
