We say the alphabet and chant it. 2. We web a story. I try to get it on the board so that we can practice reading it and so that we can copy it. (This is from the Writing Program that we are doing.) 3. We try to improve our comprehension on the TPRi by reading nursery rhymes and then using critcal thinking skills to answer questions about it. 4. We do games and songs with phonemic awareness. 5. I call out words and the kids tell me what sounds that they hear at the beginning and the end. 6. Some days we do sentence dictation This week our new alphabet letter will be "letter v" 7. Use the word wall words in sentences and practice reading them. Reading Monday-Friday The work folders are on my desk for each day's work. I work on the Decoding Folder, story, and workbook everyday.
