Introduction
     Did you know that cranberries are one of very few fruits native to the United States?  Cranberries were first used by Native Americans and have continued to be used in a variety of ways.

Task
     Your task is to learn about cranberries.  You will view several sites to dicover the answers to questions.  Each site will have things for you to read, pictures for you to look at, or a short video to watch.  After you look at the sites and answer the questions, you will create an advertisement for a cranberry product.

Process
     1. Click on the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall sites below.  On a piece of paper, answer the questions for each site.
          Winter:
          Why are cranberry bogs flooded in the winter?
          What are the three ways of sanding?

          Spring:
          How are fertilizers applied?

          Summer:
          Why do growers put bee hives next to cranberry    bogs?

          Fall:
          If you were to help harvest, would you prefer to dry harvest or wet harvest? Why?
