ANS: Q 57. ANS: U 58. ANS: N 59. ANS: Z SHORT ANSWER 60. ANS: Take one penalty stoke for hitting into the water on tee shot (shot one.) Determine where your ball called crossed the edge of the hazard. Drop the new ball with that spot between you and the hole.Your penalty shot for hitting a new ball is shot two. Your first shot with a new ball is shot three. 61. ANS: Tee shot into the lateral water hazard is your first shot. The penalty is your second shot. Determine the spot where your ball first crossed the edge of the hazard. Drop your new ball two clublengths from that spot, making sure that your drop is no closer to the hole than where your shot went into the water. Your shot with the new ball is your third shot. 62. ANS: You must hit again from the spot of your original shot. Shot from tee is first shot. Penalty for hitting out of bounds is second shot. Third shot is hit from the original spot of your shot. You lose all the distance you gained. You lose both stokes and distance. 63. ANS: If you hit your ball into a thick stand of trees, decide first if the ball is out of bounds(white flags). If it is out of bounds, follow those rules. If it is in bounds, one of three things can happen. You find your ball and hit it from where it lies. Or you find your ball and it is in an unplayable lie (see rules for unplayable lie). Or you can’t find your ball after five minutes, you must declare it as lost. You have to go back to where you hit your last shot and take a two-shot penalty. 64. ANS: If your ball goes into the trees, lands in a hole, and you can identify it as your ball without touching it, it is declared unplayable. You can do one of three things after you add a penalty stroke to your score: 1) drop the ball two clublengths from where it currently sits, as long as it is no closer to the hole. 2) Or I can go back on a straight line from the hole through where the ball is, as far back as I want, and drop the ball . 3)or I can go back to where I hit the shot that originally went into the trees.
