Saint Theresa Little Flower Preschool have a solid academic program based on the curriculum guidelines provided by the Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese Phoenix. Activities are determined by instructional early childhood standards in Religion, Language Arts, Math, Music, Science, Creative Art Experiences, Spanish, Play-Time, Physical Education.

RELIGION: love of God and family, gifts from God, caring for others, prayer and songs.

LANGUAGE ARTS: verbal communication, reading readiness skills, and expanding vocabulary.

MATH: readiness, classification, contrasts, positional relationships, and quantities.

MUSIC: singing, listening, moving to music, rhythm skills, and instruments.

SCIENCE: nature, senses, experiencing the wonder of the beautiful world God has created.

CREATIVE ART EXPERIENCES: painting, cutting, gluing, clay modeling, drawing, block construction, as a means of expressing feeling, and exploring newly discovered abilities.

SPANISH: experiencing opportunities for exposure to another language, under- standing/reciting parts of the body, days of the week, colors, numbers (count from 1-10), and simple phrases.

PLAY-TIME: dramatic play, role playing, outdoor physical activities.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION: large motor skills.
