October 27th – 31st 2014
CHANGE OF SCHEDULE
Due to last week’s schedule and ½ days for the past two weeks, this week will be different from our normal schedule. We will have a review of Russia on Monday and quiz on Tuesday. After which we will begin our studying of North Africa and Southwest Asia.
This week there will be two homework assignments. The first is the RUSSIA MAP passed out Monday October 27th. It is due back in class at the start of class on Tuesday October 28th. The second homework assignment is the NORTH AFRICA, SOUTHWEST & CENTRAL ASIA WORKSHEET passed out in class on Tuesday October 28th. This worksheet is due at the start of class on Friday October 31st.
This week we review Russia on Monday and then start on North Africa, Southwest & Central Asia on Tuesday. Students should read Unit 6 to prepare for class. Students will be completing the NORTH AFRICA, SOUTHWEST & CENTRAL ASIA MAP in class on Wednesday October 29th. Any work or worksheet that is started and not completed in class becomes homework that is due the following day.
This week students will be taking two quizzes. The first, on Tuesday October 28th will cover RUSSIA. Students should prepare for the quiz by reviewing Unit 5 in the textbook and by playing the RAGS-TO-RICHES: UNIT 5 game on my web-site. The second will be our regularly scheduled quiz on Friday October 31st that will cover NORTH AFRICA, SOUTHWEST & CENTRAL ASIA. Students should prepare for the quiz by reviewing Unit 6 in the textbook and by playing the RAGS-TO-RICHES: CHAPTERS 17, 18 & 19 game on my web-site. Students should also review questions that they missed on previous quizzes, as the most missed questions are reviewed and used on the next week’s quiz. Weekly quizzes cover the information that has been taught and reviewed during the week.
