Hello, and thank you for checking out my information page. My name is Mr. Greg Thoms, and 2014-2015 is my 25th year of teaching in Plano School District 88. I teach third grade at Centennial School. I believe that education should be a meaningful, but fun, exploration. It is okay to laugh in school. :-) Children should look forward to coming to school each day. School should be a place to meet, explore, invent, and develop skills.
I was raised in Earlville, Illinois and earned my Associates degree at Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby, Illinois. I earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. I am married to Mrs. Andrea Thoms, who teaches second grade at Centennial School. We have three children, Lucas who is a Junior, Kylie who's an 8th grader, and Joshua who is in 5th grade. My hobbies are running, bicycling, art, reading, computers, and being Dad.
