Deciding to study a second language will:
*** expand your knowledge of the world
*** increase your understanding of English
*** provide a useful skill for foreign travel or study
*** enhance your career opportunities
My goal for my Spanish classes is to make your study of Spanish enjoyable and meaningful. But you must realize that the mastery of a foreign language requires lots of patience, time, and practice. I have set up some guidelines or procedures that will help you be successful in my classroom and in learning Spanish.
^ Attend class regularly in order to learn all four skills
(listening, speaking, reading, writing).
^ Bring all materials to class daily (textbook, workbook,
pens, pencils, notebook, and homework).
^ Listen attentively to the teacher, to videos, CDs, and
your classmates.
^ Participate actively in all oral work. Try to answer to
yourself questions asked by other students. It will
give you extra practice.
^ Ask questions if something is not clear.
^ Treat the teacher and your classmates with courtesy. Do
not laugh at others' mistakes.
