8th-We will learn about the history of Mardi Gras in Louisiana. TEST ON THIS IS THURSDAY, FEB. 16TH.
A message from the cafeteria:If you have not submitted a permission form to purchase snacks and/ or extra items to the cafeteria, your account will be blocked and you will be unable to purchase these items. The permission form can be found on the school website under Parent Portal, or your parent may send a signed letter granting permission to buy extras.
The state of Louisiana is offering free tutoring through computers for students in the state. You can go to your public library and log on from one of their computers or you can go to your public library's website to do this.
Also the state is offering a skillscenter in math, science, social studies, and English. The website is www.homeworkla.com.
************PLEASE NOTE : STUDENTS DO NOT HAVE A COPY OF THE HISTORY BOOK. WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TO HAVE HOME COPIES AND THE BOOKS ARE RATHER LARGE. TO AVOID HAVING TO CARRY THE TEXTS BACK AND FORTH FROM SCHOOL TO HOME, WE WILL KEEP THE TEXTS IN THE CLASSROOM. A COPY OF THE TEXTBOOK CAN BE FOUND ON THE INTERNET. STUDENTS KNOW HOW TO GET TO THE ON-LINE TEXT.
