May 21-25 All social studies textbooks should have been returned by now. I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed summer! Thank you for allowing me to teach your child. I will miss the 6th graders as they move on to junior high (you will miss my corny jokes, I promise)! As for the 5th graders, I get one more year to teach you (and to tell you corny jokes)! Yeah! This week we will: 5th grade - work in computer lab learning about the Constitution and the foundations of American government 6th grade - work in computer lab researching inventions of the Renaissance
Homework: Monday - Tuesday- Wednesday- Thursday- Friday - Have a great summer! **Important note - Students should be looking over maps, notes, etc... at home on a daily basis. ***Tentative Test/ Quiz Schedule: Important Dates: Friday, May 25th - last day of school (1/2 day) Important notes: Grades are always posted online. The school office will send information home soon on how to view your child's grades online. We do not have these codes to give out. I usually wait until the first big quiz or test to post grades. Posting too soon gives a poor reflection of the child's actual grade. I try to send papers home every 2-3 weeks, after I have 2 or 3 papers. I do wait until make-up tests/quizzes are completed. However, I usually have tests/quizzes posted fairly quickly online, and the children see their tests/quizzes in class as soon as I grade them. Go SLU Lions, LSU Tigers, and of course - HGS Patriots! God Bless, Mrs. Inman
