Week of December 14-18
6th grade only - please send in a favorite family recipe - hurry - last day to turn in is Monday!!!
6th grade ONLY: before the holidays, students were given information about completing a social studies fair project. Please read over the packet. Due dates were sent home Tuesday about project presentations, etc.. I have put the packet at the bottom of my Quia site under links if you lost your packet
This week we will:
5th grade - we will wrap up chpt 7 in Scott Foresman textbook: The Fight for a Continent and prepare for our test.
6th grade- we will wrap up chpt 5 in Harcourt Brace textbook: Asia and the Americas and prepare for our test.
Homework:
**Important note - I do not assign a lot of "written" homework. However, the students should be looking over their study guides at home.
Monday - study for test on Thurs.
Tuesday- same as Mon.
Wednesday - same as Mon.
Thursday -
Friday- Have a blessed Christmas!
Tentative Test/ Quiz Schedule:
Thurs., 12-17: 5th and 6th chapter test
Important notes:
Grades are always posted online. The school office will send information home soon on how to view your child's grades online. We do not have these codes to give out.
I usually wait until the first big quiz or test to post grades. Posting too soon gives a poor reflection of the child's actual grade.
I try to send papers home every 2-3 weeks, after I have 2 or 3 papers. I do wait until make-up tests are completed. However, I usually have tests posted fairly quickly online, and the children see their tests in class as soon as I grade them.
