WELCOME TO FOURTH GRADE!!!

I showed the class an exciting and educational game in multiplication facts. It is called timez attack. You can go to bigbrainz@bigbrainz.com or type in timez attack. You can download the free version and actually play. You will be able to see how it works. You can purchase the game for $39.99 with an option to buy a CD for $5 or $6. Check it out!

4th grade will have a music performance with their recorders during the Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 in the gym. 4th grade students need to be in the gym for 6:00 with dress attire.

Please send a self addressed envelope with stamp for your child's report card to be mailed at the end of the school year- please send letter size 4 1/8 by 9 1/2.
I JUST LEARNED THAT STAMPS ARE GOING UP TO 44 CENTS ON MAY 11. PLEASE HAVE THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT ON THE ENVELOPE.

All home copy books must be returned on May 15 to be checked in.
Please return the following home copy books on the following days:
Tuesday: Reading book and CD and green English book
Wednesday: Math
Friday: Science and Social Studies

May 21 and 22 will be half-days. Dismissal at 11:30. Buses will be available at 11:30 on May 21. No bus service on May 22 at all. Aftercare's last day will be May 20.

I realize that we are in the fourth nine weeks; however, your child still needs his/her supplies at school. Please check with your child to see what he/she needs. Students need their supplies to finish their poem book.

Please check the following:   uniform violations will be given
hair length- front, sides, and back     girls- no hair in the eyes
boys- belt must be worn every day
correct socks- crew or knee only
girls- length of skorts and jumpers
shoes- mostly white with red, navy, silver, black, or gray trim
correct jacket/sweater for indoor wear
correct bows

Your child has been made aware that points will be deducted if full name and date are not on every paper. Please practice this at home to reinforce this procedure. Also, please talk to your child about the importance of checking over his/her test paper before turning it in. There have been numerous tests with a page and/or section left undone. Points will be deducted and if this continues then the questions/problems will be marked wrong.

Timed tests will consist of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts.

Check the calendar for upcoming tests and events.

Review basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts daily.

We are collecting box tops, Tyson chicken labels, and Community Coffee labels.
