****VERY IMPORTANT**** COUNSELING/SUPPORT GROUP INFORMATION***
Deadline to register FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7TH
A detailed letter went home earlier this week with this information. I will be offering counseling/support groups for our 1st - 8th grade students at Holy Ghost School. The groups will meet from 2:40 – 3:30 p.m. in my office (located on the 2nd floor of the St. Thomas building) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week for four weeks. Please read the description below, discuss this with your child, and make an informed decision together regarding his/her participation in and commitment to the group. Please call me if you have any questions (x1212).
Group I – Grief and Loss (grades 1-4) Tuesdays 2:40 – 3:30
on 11/11, 11/18, (not 11/25) 12/2, 12/9
This group will consist of students who have experienced the death of a parent, grandparent, or other close family member or friend. It will offer the students the opportunity to deal with acceptance and expression of their feelings, including loss, abandonment, fear, and anger.
Group II – Grief and Loss (grades 5-8)Wednesdays 2:40– 3:30

Group III – Divorce/Separation - Thursdays 2:40- 3:30
on 11/13, 11/20, (not 11/27), 12/4, 12/12
This group will be comprised of students whose parents are separated, divorced, and/or remarried. This group will offer students the opportunity for sharing, support, problem-solving, self-awareness, and improving communication skills.
