DISMISSAL WILL BE AT 11:30AM; BUSSES WILL BE AVAILABLE. *****Please return ALL textbooks and reading CDs this Friday, May 15th. *****Report cards and TerraNova scores will be mailed home to you. Please send in a legal sized, self-addressed, stamped envelope with $0.44 postage, as postage will increase before we mail out report cards. *****All Library books need to be turned immediately. *****Last day for aftercare will be May 20th. NO aftercare for May 21st. *****Remember to check your child’s school uniform daily. WEEKLY ASSIGNMENTS: Reading: Throughout the remainder of the year we will be concentrating on skills that will cross over into fourth grade. We will be completing practice book pages daily to correspond with these skills. Daily grades will be taken from some of these skills. Math: We are introducing multiplication with two and three digits by one digit. This will not be tested. We will have a 1.5 minute timed test this Thursday, May 14th. Spelling: List #24 words are summer words. Please study these words nightly and practice writing them in cursive. Test Friday, May 15th.. Three times each are also due on test day. Spelling Words: summer, vacation, beach, towel, pool, raft, friends, camping, ocean, cruise, waves, fishing, baseball, swimming, exercise, sunglasses, sandals, swimsuit, surfboard, traveling Religion: Study highlighting and vocabulary from Chapters 4 and 5. A test will be given on Friday, May 15th. Continue learning the Morning Offering for a simple quiz also on Friday. Key words: mission, Ascension, Pentecost, Church, Christians, Acts of the Apostles, Gospel, and martyrs English: We are learning about Cinquain Poems and we will be writing one in class for a grade. Social Studies: Read Chapter 3 and study vocabulary words nightly. Children need to bring workbooks to class daily, as we will complete pages in class. Test Wednesday, May 13th.
