WEEK OF February 13 - 17, 2012.

HOMEWORK: The purposes of my homework assignments can be to reinforce concepts learned in class, read ahead to learn about what we'll do in class the next day, or to help study for upcoming tests. They are designed to be no more than 15 minutes in length. If the time goes longer, simply sign where they stopped and have them guess at the rest. Revisiting work done each day will cut down on study time required for tests.

This week's homework is as follows:

Monday - Page 179 #1, 4, 5, & 6.

Tuesday - Study Unit 4 Lesson 3 packet for test

Wednesday - Test Friday

Thursday - Study for test. Unit 4 Lesson 3.

Friday – Test Unit 4 Lesson 3. Have a great Mardi Gras Holiday!

PARENTS: We are currently doing activities from the FOSS (Full Option Science System) kits that involve using procedures that promote critical thinking and bring them through the steps of scientific inquiry. During the year, please ask your children about these activities that are designed to show them how to draw conclusions based on collected data. What are they saying?

FIELD TRIP - PARENTS - If YOU want to go on a field trip this year, you have to complete the Child Protection packet. You can find all the requirements on our website. Go to:

You must do the following and turn it in to the office:
>Get 2 sets of fingerprint cards from Hammond Police
>Watch the “Safe in Place” video, take the test, print the certificate
>Read the “Code of Ethics” and print the certificate
>Complete the Diocese of Baton Rouge Volunteer Packet
