The SECOND NINE WEEK GRADING PERIOD is quickly coming to an end.
A social studies test on Chapter 5 is scheduled for Friday, December 11. Students should study the quizzes for Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 in preparation for that test.
The Science Benchmark test will be given on Tuesday, December 15. Students should prepare by studying the material in the hardback journal, the Benchmark Review Study Guide, and the Quia activities below. Much review will be taking place in the classroom.
Students will also be completing a newspaper project in science about what they have learned during the past 9 weeks.
(On November 30, I returned from a medical leave. I appreciate the good work done by the students in my absence. Their grades reflect quality work and mastering the content that was presented to them. As during the first nine week grading period, I will give the students a copy of their grades and current average on Wednesdays; one will be given on Wednesday, December 2.)
For future reference: No science project is required this year; however, students are given the opportunity to complete a project for extra credit. Quality projects will compete in the school science fair with the possibility of going to the ETSU Science Fair.
