Below you will find links in English to some of the more important modern Hispanic writers. Those with an * in front of their name write mainly in English. The others write mainly in Spanish. One author, Ernest Hemingway, is not Hispanic but writes in English about Spain and Cuba.
BY NO MEANS are all important Hispanic authors of the 20th century included. This is a very personal and even "accidental" selection of writers and the novels or short stories written by them.
