We are looking forward to the week of February 13th. This week we will be covering these concepts:

-Reading: We continue our Author Study of Beverly Cleary with the read aloud of "Socks".

Language: We are studying the types of sentences (statement, question, exclamation, and command), as well as the punctuation that goes at the end of each type of sentence.

-Math:We continue Chapter 16 on analyzing and creating graphs. We also continue our study of multiplication. This week 8's.

-Social Studies: We continue our study of Ancient Greece including the history of Ancient Greece.

-Religion: We continue our "Family Life" with Unit 2 "God's Gift of Self". We will also be discussing the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Social Studies: Study Guide for test THIS Thursday.

Special:

Mark your calendars! TerraNova will begin for third grade on Wed. March 21st. Students are expected to be in class every day for testing. Please refrain from scheduling appointments during this time.

CARITAS begins next weekend. Please bring in individual packaged snacks for our CARITAS friends.

Wacky & Wild Wednesdays:

The Student Council is sponsoring some Wild & Wacky days for our students. There is NO COST to participate in these days.

TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 15th ―Out of Uniform – Pajama Day. (Please do not wear boxers as pajamas. Pajamas must be appropriate.)

Tuesday, February 21st ―Mardi Gras Uniform-Plus Day. Non-uniform shirts with Mardi Gras colors (Purple, Gold and Green) and Mardi Gras beads may be worn with your school uniform.

Wednesday, February 29th ―Crazy Hats/Socks Uniform-Plus Day. Wear your crazy hats and /or socks with your school uniform.
