Assignment 7
Pronunciation. Go to the following site and practice your pronunciation by doing the exercises in the Spanish Alphabet. Begin with Topics 1-10 and then, work your way through the others, selecting those with which you need more practice.

Assignment 8
Work with a classmate to prepare a short dialogue between one of Alfredo or Margarita and one of Doña Ana or Don José. Include appropriate saludos (greetings) and despedidas (goodbyes) as well as questions requiring the characters to introduce themselves. Also include questions that elicit place of origin, nationality, age, work and profession. (Look out for formal and informal expressions.) Make sure you spell the words correctly. Pay attention to accents and punctuation too. Type the dialogue double-spaced and hand in a printed copy at the beginning of class on Monday, March 2 (Section 2) and Tuesday, March 3 (Sections 1 and 3). (Save your work. Make sure each person keeps a copy.) Practise and be prepared to present your dialogue infront of the class the following week. The dialogue should be presented as natural as possible, without reading it.On your printed copy, at the bottom of the page, indicate the full name of the person that plays each character.

Open the link below and do all the exercices. Type Exercices 5,7, and 9 double-spaced to hand in. Be sure to include in the upper right hand corner of your first sheet, your name, the Course ID and section and the date. This assignment is due at the beginning of class on March 4 (Section 2) and March 3 (Sections 1 and 3). Begin early so that you can seek help if necessary.

Assignment 11
Use the file below (Datos personales) as a guide to prepare an interview sheet with at least five questions. Choose whether you want to be formal or informal in your questions, but be consistent throughout. Neatly type your sheet putting, in the upper right corner of the sheet, your name, the class and section (SPAN 1015 - 1, SPAN 1015 -2 or SPAN 1015 - 3) and the date. Print TWO copies and hand one in at the beginning of class on Wednesday, March 11 (Section 2) and Tuesday, March 10 (Sections 1 and 3). Keep the other copy and you will use it to interview a classmate in class. Then you will present him/her to the class using the information gathered in the interview.

Go to the Main Profile Page and under "Quizzes", open the quiz "SPAN 1015 Quiz - Present Tense - Regular Verbs."
When you open the quiz, you will be asked for your name and password. Use the name and password of your Quia registration. (See Tarea 1 above.) . You must do the quiz a minimum of 10 times. These should all be genuine "good-faith" attempts. You may continue doing the quiz as many times as you wish.
The last attempt (after the nineth attempt) will be counted as your grade for this quiz. If your number of attempts is less than the indicated minimum, your grade will be 50% of the last attempt.
Note that if you open the quiz and you do not complete it, or if you do not submit your work, this is counted as an attempt.
The quiz is timed: you have 3 minutes to do 5 items. Work carefully; spelling counts.
The test is open from 5:00 p.m, on Wednesday, March 25 until 11:59 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015.
You will be asked for a secret word.
