Welcome to Instructional Technology 7. This is a non-homework class.

This is a project-based learning class where you will use the computer to learn about endangered animals. After this nine-week course, you will be able to:

"touch type" at an improved level using WordPerfect;

process documents using WordPerfect at a more sophisticated level;

explain and demonstrate understanding of the District's Acceptable Use Policy as it applies to computer use;

identify the components of a computer system and how they relate to each other;

identify basic elements of a web site, and use the World Wide Web as a research tool in your quest of endangered species;

learn how to create a slide show using Presentations;

use a drawing program, scanner and digital camera to insert images into a slide show; and
write citations for text and images gathered from electronic sources and understand the "fair use rule" of copyright law.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions or if you require more information. I look forward to working with you this quarter.
