Welcome to Instructional Technology 7. This is a non-homework class. This is a project-based learning class where you will use the computer to learn about endangered animals. After this nine-week course, you will be able to: "touch type" at an improved level using WordPerfect; process documents using WordPerfect at a more sophisticated level; explain and demonstrate understanding of the District's Acceptable Use Policy as it applies to computer use; identify the components of a computer system and how they relate to each other; identify basic elements of a web site, and use the World Wide Web as a research tool in your quest of endangered species; learn how to create a slide show using Presentations; use a drawing program, scanner and digital camera to insert images into a slide show; and write citations for text and images gathered from electronic sources and understand the "fair use rule" of copyright law.
