Welcome to Instructional Technology 8. This is a non-homework class. This is a project-based learning class where you will use the computer to learn about managing your money with a banking program called "Saving Makes Cents." You will have the opportunity to open a savings account (if you do not already have one) and learn how starting to save will allow you to reach your future goals, whatever they may be! After this nine-week course, you will be able to: Touch type at an improved level; Explain and demonstrate understanding of classroom rules regarding responsible use of computers; Use correct terminology in speaking about electronic communications; Use a spreadsheet to chart and solve financial problems; Compose citations for web pages using Citation Maker; Use search engines and demonstrate ethical behavior in copying files, applications, and media; and Prepare a slide show using Presentations. These are just some of the things you will learn this quarter. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Here are this week's assignments: Monday, December 14: WordPerfect: Key next lesson.
