Internet Safety Rules

 

Internet usage is to be consistent with Rockingham County Acceptable Use Policy at http://www.rockingham.k12.va.us/RCPS_tech/AUP.html and my rules.  These include (but are not limited to):

 

1.     Students are not permitted to access any email but Gaggle.net  Gaggle may only be accessed if your work is handed in on the tray

2.     No chat rooms or online conferences are allowed

3.     Only visit WebPages that relate to your projects

4.     Never give out personal information such as name, address, phone number, email, school name etc. 

5.     Ignore ads and do not enter online contests

6.     No downloading permitted except those approved by the teacher

7.     If you receive an email that is abusive or something that makes you uncomfortable, let the teacher know. 

8.     Never agree to meet someone you met online, they could be lying.

9.      Do not give out your password to anyone even your best friends

10. Respect people on the Internet the way you would like to be treated
