This is a website about irish dancing and the school I go to for Irish Dancing - The OHare school of Irish Dance. I am in the Novice level, which is the fourth level. So far we have two new reel steps, two new slipjigs, and a new hornpipe down. We have yet to begin learning treble jig and jig. There are two novice classes on Monday: 6-7 and 7-8. There is one on Tuesday: 7-8, and one on Saturday - I'm not sure of the time. Sometime in the early afternoon. The recital is early March. Sometimes Michael teaches us, sometimes Elane teaches us, smetimes Erin teaches us. It's always different. I do NOT reccomend switching back and forth between the different novice classes. They are not usually kept at the same level and may even learn different steps. Good exercise: Pick up marbles with your toes and drop them into jars. It helps to point your toes and such.
