Welcome to 6th Grade on Cougar Hall!!!
Can you believe we are approaching the end of your sixth grade year!!!??? It feels like just yesterday that you were walking through the doors for the first time. Remember continue to check the boards outside our room and use home base time to prepare for the day. Don't get behind on your AR goal before we've gotten started; make sure you are reading 30 minutes every day. Your two required readings include 2 non-fiction books. This nine weeks we have several fun things planned; especially as we approach the end of the school year!! Continue to work hard and fulfill your obligations, and we will finish the year in style! :)

Please make sure you are here and on time each day. Every minute of instruction you miss is crucial to your success!

Meet Ms. Peterson

This is my sixth year teaching at Indian Trail. I graduated with my Masters of Education in June 2006 from Milligan College. I am one of four children; I have an older sister and brother and one younger sister. Over the past few years, I was fortunate to go on several trips. I went on a cruise to the Bahamas for the first time with a few friends. I also traveled with several friends to New York City for the first time. We had a blast!! I always go to the Outer Banks of North Carolina with my family and friends. You will hear many anecdotes about my friends and family in my class-especially my nephew Aidyn. He is five years old and keeps everyone in my family on their toes. He is starting kindergarten this year, so I'm sure I will have LOTS of stories to share! I am from Johnson City and actually had a few of the teachers at Indian Trail when I was in middle school!
